Shovel drill can be used in traditional machine tools and CNC machine tools, on-line replacement drill tip, conwenient and efficient greatly improved.

Shovel drill is composed of knife bar and blade fixed with screws,The high-precision interface between the knife bar and blade can ensure the clamping accuracy of the blade,and the blade is easy to replace.The knife bar is made of high-quality steel with good toughness and high wear resistance, and is processed by vacuum heat treatment and tempering. The blade is made of imported high end powder high sped steel and hard alloy . The cutting edge is designed with chip breaking grove, and the tip has self-centering edge. The tool rod adopts internal cooling design, which can be connected to the internal cooling system of the machine tool.

Spade drill selection :
 

The shovel drill is composed of a cutter bar and a blade. The center of the cutter bar is designed with internal cooling.A cutter bar specification can be adapted to multiple specifications of the blade,reducing the cost of the cutter bar. The shovel  drill is an improved tool based on the U-drill. It can be used in a wide range of equipments (such as rocker arm drilling, vertical drilling, horizontal drilling machines, machining centers, etc.) and does not require high rigidity of the equipments. Integral head can be accurately centered, and the head has a chip separating groove and chip breaking groove, so it can process deep holes.

It is easy to drill deep holes with long warps. The inserts are symmetrical with center centered double edge cutting, so it is possible to drill deep holes up to 20D. Deep holes that cannot be drilled by U-drills or shallow drills can be drilled by spade drills.
Shovel drilling can be widely used in traditional machine tools such as rocker arm drills. Due to the low spindle speed, poor rigidity and weak power of traditional machine tools, general rapid drilling, U-drilling and other drills with carbide inserts cannot be used. Shovel drills use cobalt-containing high-speed steel coated inserts with high toughness and impact resistance, which can effectively solve the problem of chipping.
The drilling accuracy of the spade drill is much higher than that of the U-drill, which is fitted with two asymmetric cutting inserts. When the cutter body cuts into the surface of the workpiece, the axial force on the outer and inner cutting edges of the cutter body is unbalanced, which will inevitably cause dimensional changes, so the U-drill can only be used as a roughing tool, with an accuracy of ±0.1mm. the symmetrical cutting blade of the Shovel Drill, the dimensional accuracy can be controlled within 5 filaments. The direct drilling can reach the requirement of threaded bottom hole. The side of the spade drill insert has a dressing edge band, through the extrusion of the dressing edge band, the finish of the processed hole wall can reach RA1.6.
