Classification of HSK tool holder
HSK tool holder has a variety of specifications such as type A, type B, type C, type D, type E, and type F, among which type A, type E, and type F are commonly used on machining centers (automatic tool change).
The biggest difference between Type A and Type E is that Type A has a transmission groove while Type E does not. Therefore, Type A has a relatively large transmission torque and can relatively carry out some heavy cutting. Type E has a relatively small transmission torque and can only carry out some light cutting. In addition to the transmission groove, Type A handles have manual fixing holes, directional grooves, etc., so the balance is relatively poor. Type E does not, so Type E is more suitable for high-speed machining.
The E-type and F-type mechanisms are completely identical, and their differences are as follows:
The E and F toolholders, also known as 63E and 63F, have one smaller cone. That is, the flange diameters of 63E and 63F are 63, but the cone dimensions of 63F are only the same as those of 50E. Therefore, compared with 63E, 63F rotates faster because of the smaller spindle bearing.
