What is "BBT" series holder ?

BBT series holders are as per standard BT MAS 403.
These are taper and face contact holders. As spindle taper, spindle face and tool holder taper and face both comes in contact, the machine spindle and holder acts as one single unit. This allows higher radial rigidity and accuracy and we get good run-out on tool.

The difference between Bbt and bt collet chuck  :

The main difference between BBT and BT toolholders is the positioning method and the application scenario.

BBT shanks, which are positioned only by taper contact, are relatively simple and low-cost to manufacture. The BBT toolholder is equipped with both taper and face positioning, i.e., double-sided positioning. This design provides higher rigidity and stability in heavy and high-speed cutting, and the BBT toolholder can achieve the best results when used in conjunction with a BBT spindle.

BT toolholder. Its reference diameter is the outer diameter of the flange, while the reference diameter of the ordinary BT toolholder is the outer diameter of the big end of the taper shank. According to the principle of mechanics, the bigger the reference diameter, the stronger the rigidity, so the rigidity of the BBT toolholder has a significant improvement compared with the BT toolholder.

In addition, although BT shanks can also be used on BBT spindles, they can only be positioned on one side, which limits the rigidity of the connection and the use of its effect
