The working principle of floating tool holders

   Floating tool holders enable automatic centering, ensuring the precision requirements of the machined holes. By using floating reamer holders, accumulated errors during machining can be effectively reduced, radial runout of the machine spindle can be eliminated, production efficiency can be improved, and production costs can be saved.

During the machining process, floating tool holders allow continuous axial offset and radial translation, keeping the reamer center always aligned with the machine spindle center. They smoothly float within a 360° range in the vertical plane, effectively compensating for deviations between the tool center and the machined hole center. This significantly eliminates radial vibration caused by machine rotation.
