Knowledge about rotary table :
Universal rotary table is an important accessory for boring machines, drilling machines, milling machines and inserting machines, etc. It is used for machining holes, slots and bevels with indexing requirements, and when the table is rotated during machining, it can machine circular surfaces and circular slots, etc. Universal rotary table is divided into horizontal rotary table, vertical and horizontal rotary table and universal rotary table according to different structures. Horizontal rotary table: There is a center hole for workpiece positioning and a T-slot for clamping on the round table surface. The table has a 360° equidistant engraved line on the outer circumference. The table and the base are equipped with a worm-worm-wheel pair (see worm drive) with a speed ratio of 90:1 or 120:1 for transmission and indexing, and the end of the worm extending from the base is equipped with a subdivision dial and a handwheel. Turning the hand wheel can drive the table, and the rotation angle is read out by the scale (in degrees) and subdivision dial on the outer circumference of the table. The indexing accuracy is generally ±60″. Horizontal turntable worm extension can also be coupled with the machine tool transmission device to achieve power drive.
Vertical and horizontal turntable: the base has two mutually perpendicular installation base, so that the table can be placed both horizontally and vertically.
